About Network Financial Services Ltd

Network Financial Services Ltd is a licensed Financial Advice Provider (FAP) under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013.

We hold a licence issued by the Financial Markets Authority (FMA) to provide financial advice services to retail clients in New Zealand.

Network Financial Services Ltd is responsible for the financial advice services provided by its financial advisers and nominated representatives.

Nature and Scope of Our Advice Services

Network Financial Services Ltd provides personal financial advice to retail clients in relation to risk insurance products, including (but not limited to):

  • Life insurance
  • Trauma / critical illness insurance
  • Income protection insurance
  • Total and permanent disability insurance
  • Health insurance

Advice may be provided as limited advice or full advice, depending on the client’s needs and the scope agreed before advice is given. Any limitations on the advice will be clearly disclosed before you decide whether to proceed.

Independence and Product Providers

Network Financial Services Ltd operates as an independent Financial Advice Provider. We are not owned by, and do not act exclusively for, any insurer or product provider. Our advisers may recommend products from a range of insurers that we are accredited with or have access to at the time advice is given. Any material limitations on product availability will be disclosed to you.

Fees, Commissions, and Other Incentives

In most cases, Network Financial Services Ltd does not charge clients a direct fee for providing insurance advice. If you proceed with a recommendation, Network Financial Services Ltd usually receives a commission from the product provider. This commission is paid by the insurer and does not generally result in an additional cost to you. Where a fee applies, or where additional costs may be incurred, this will be disclosed before advice is provided.

Conflicts of Interest

Because Network Financial Services Ltd may receive commissions from product providers, a potential conflict of interest may arise. We manage conflicts of interest by:

  • Having policies and processes designed to ensure advice is based on your needs and objectives
  • Requiring advisers to recommend products that are suitable for you
  • Complying with the duties imposed under the Financial Markets Conduct Act

Duties Information

When providing financial advice, Network Financial Services Ltd and its advisers are required to:

  • Act in the best interests of clients
  • Exercise care, diligence, and skill
  • Ensure advice is suitable for the client
  • Give priority to the client’s interests where conflicts arise
