Why you need professional advice

It can be hard to identify the insurance you need for your family or business, without actually talking to an experienced insurance adviser.  

Our advisers are dedicated to understanding your individual needs and building a lifetime relationship with you, your family (and/or) business partners. We value the human touch – we want to understand what you do and how we can help.

We offer free professional advice to you.  When you start a policy, we receive a payment for our advice from the insurer that you choose.  We are here to answer any questions you may have about our advice process, and our disclosure statements are available under each adviser.

We will help you to make a well-informed decision and will help you if you need to claim or if your circumstances change. 

Most personal insurance claims arise when a person is facing illness, death in the family or injury.  In situations like this, having us manage the claim process with the insurance company is extremely valuable. 

Our Journey

Network Financial Services was founded by Eugene in 2012 initially working by himself. Over the years the business has grown to a point where he was able to involve both his wife and his son, to create a truly family business. This sense of family is what we bring to our clients, we are there to help our clients choose the right insurance products and really be there for them when they need it most.Eugene has over 25 years experience in the insurance industry both here in New Zealand and in South Africa.

Out of his need to help others, Eugene also started the New Immigrants Network. Having gone through the process of immigrating to New Zealand, he knew how hard it was for new people to settle in their new adopted home. This network has grown across the country where like-minded people work together to help new immigrants settle into New Zealand.

Jacques graduated from Massey University with a Bachelors in Accounting as well as a Certificate in Arts. He spent 2 years working for a mid-tier accounting firm before moving to a corporate role where he worked for over 3 years. During this time he also qualified as a Charted Account with NZICA.

Jacques specialises in Mortgages and is an accredited mortgage broker.

Jacques has recently returned from a long overseas trip where he visited many of the Central American countries. Travel is always on the cards.

 Felecia van Heerden 

Administration  and Claims Manager

Felecia handles the administration side of the business . Felecia is very focused on the day to day activities of the business and handles all inquiries from customers queries, claims  and Insurance companies. Felecia has a background in IT, having been in the IT business for more than 20 years, bringing a wealth of experience of various industries and business experience. 

Felecia enjoys expressing her creative side through cake designing, jewellery making and art in various forms. In the summer months she also enjoys spending time outside cycling with friends.

Cheryl has many years experience in office work having worked in large companies prior to joining us and brings her dedication and commitment to the office.

Cheryl is a grandmother and enjoys her time away from work, spending it with the grandchildren. Cheryl enjoys knitting, gardening and cooking.

I have been in the insurance industry for close to 18 years, both in the field as a Senior Financial Adviser and Branch Manager at Liberty in Johannesburg South Africa. I have a number of Industry qualifications including the Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning and hold the CFP designation. I also have an MBA through Henley Business School. My particular field of expertise is helping self-employed professionals protect and create their wealth.


I came to NZ to be closer to my son Deneitz and I enjoy walking and reading in my downtime..

Rinus has been a financial adviser since 2012 and has more than seven years experience working for Liberty Life in South Africa. He holds both a Marketing and Wealth Management qualification. Rinus spent some time working abroad in the UK.

Rinus has a passion for working with families to ensure that their risk planning is firmly in place. He also has extensive knowledge to assist with business assurance. 

Rinus is married with two kids and divides his spare time between his family and the outdoors.
